Bjørn Wiinblad

Our eclectic product range is hand-picked by our owner Lucy, whose enthusiasm for Nordic design and eye for originality allows for a gently evolving selection of stylish finds.

Looking for some joy and whimsy in your life? Welcome to the fairy tale world of Copenhagen-born artist Bjørn Wiinblad.

With a gentle nod to Scandinavian folk art, Wiinblad's brightly coloured, imaginative designs became very popular in post-war Europe and are now reinterpreted in a functional range of ceramics fit for a modern generation.

Wiinblad's distinctive style combines whimsy with sophistication, featuring fairy tale characters, exotic birds, elegant women and fantastical creatures, all rendered with flowing lines and joyful, vibrant colours. The rosy-cheeked ladies in our collection make me very happy!

Some Bjørn Wiinblad favourites

Eva bowl in blue

The new blue edition of the popular Eva bowl has the familiar round head and vivid use of colour reminiscent of vintage Wiinblad. Using the artist's own drawings for the gentle facial features and even the pattern on the dress, there's an authenticity and nostalgia about these pieces which makes them so very likeable.
