Danish designer Pernille Corydon takes her cues from nature, and the Noa necklace's twisted chain is inspired by its changeability. Made from gold-plated silver and adjustable from 50 to 55cm, it's elegant worn alone but also layers beautifully with other pieces. If she's more into silver than gold, these Berlin creoles – soft, almost-round hoops - work as well every day as they do for a special occasion. Designer jewellery she'll wear on repeat.

Hetkinen Eau de Parfum Amuse Air
New to us this year, Finnish fragrance house Hetkinen makes natural, unisex scents inspired by nature. Amuse Air is a bright, uplifting blend of sweet orange and lemon, with jasmine and neroli at its heart and a soft vanilla and cedarwood base. For something to go with it, their Lichen body oil – made with real Finnish lichen – is fresh, woody and deeply soothing.
Skandinavisk Evening Glow Candle Gift Set
A beautifully boxed gift set that's ready to give. Evening Glow pairs two Skandinavisk scents made for Nordic winter nights: Stjärna (star), with white birch, violet leaves and mandarin, and Hygge, with black tea, dried apple and a dusting of baked cinnamon. The gold embellishments make it feel even more special.
Dottir Pipanella Wall Votive, White Scales
Designed by Charlotte Adrian for Dottir, the Pipanella wall votive is an unexpected take on a candle holder - and given how popular these are in the shop, they make for very good presents. Handmade in porcelain with a geometric pattern in relief, it glows when a tealight is lit inside, and because each one is made by hand, no two are quite the same. Available in colours as well as the pure white, it's lovely in a hallway, bedroom or bathroom – and for anywhere a real flame isn't practical, pop in one of Uyuni's real wax LED tealights, which flicker convincingly and have a built-in six-hour timer.
Spira of Sweden Makeup Bag, Pink Stripe
Hand-printed in Sweden on cotton, with a zip and a leather pull tab, Spira's pink stripe makeup bag is a lovely gift on its own. For a bit more to unwrap, fill it with some Scandi-made self-care essentials: a hand-made birch and goat hair kabuki make-up brush and an organic knitted washcloth from Swedish brand Iris Hantverk, plus a Skandinavisk Fjord mini hand cream. And for her dressing table, the Zone Denmark Time mirror sets tempered glass on a solid concrete base – the mirror lifts out so that you can move it where you need it. It's practical, clean Danish design she won't have thought to buy herself.
Spira of Sweden Birch Wood Tray Kerstin
Kerstin, pottering in her garden, is one of our favourite Spira characters, and on this cheery birch wood tray she's just the right size for a coffee and a slice of cake. And when she's not using it, it'll look lovely propped up on a shelf, too.
Iittala Essence White Wine Glasses, Set of 2
Designed by Alfredo Häberli for Finnish glassmaker Iittala, Essence is pure, pared-back elegance: a long stem, a fine rim and a generous bowl that makes any wine taste that little bit better. A pair of these is a lovely gift for someone who appreciates the finer things – and, happily, they're dishwasher safe.
Lyngby Glas Schnapps Glasses, Set of 6
For the woman who loves to host, this set of six Lyngby Glas schnapps glasses is a proper party piece. Each one comes in a different colour – purple, blue, smoke, amber, green and yellow – and they look brilliant together. On a practical level, it also means everyone can keep track of whose is whose, whether it's schnapps, sherry or tequila on offer. Kay Bojesen Songbird Sunshine
Danish design legend Kay Bojesen sketched his songbirds in the 1950s, inspired by the birds visiting his family's bird table – but they were never put into production until now. Hand-painted in solid beech, Sunshine's turquoise and yellow is guaranteed to lift a windowsill (and a mood) all year round.
Lovi Flower Wall Decoration, Pink
Something a little different for her wall. Lovi's multi-layered Finnish birch plywood flower arrives flat-packed, slots together without glue and hangs on a wall or stands on a table. This is the 34cm pink, but there are more colours and sizes to mix and match – so you can start her collection, or add to it.
For the Moomin lover
Does she love The Moomins? Us, too. Finnish porcelain maker Arabia Finland is renowned for their Moomin designs, and the Bath House pitcher (one of our favourites) is as good for flowers as it is for serving drinks. The blue and white Haru vase takes its inspiration from Tove Jansson's own floral designs, with the Moomins tucked in among Nordic flowers. And for a little extra something (or a stocking filler), Lovi's wooden Little My comes flat-packed in a postcard-sized envelope.
