The Scandinavian Shop has been trading for over 50 years, which we think makes us the longest-serving shop in Scotland specialising in Nordic design and Scandinavian homewares. We’ve been located on Helensburgh's high street since we opened in 1973. And what began as a passionate love affair with Scandinavian craftsmanship has grown into Scotland's most trusted source for genuine Nordic homewares, glass art, and lifestyle gifts. As well as our shop, we also have this online store, and send deliveries of Nordic happiness throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide.

The Scandinavian Shop was founded in the 1970s, when Nordic design was just beginning to capture the world's imagination. And we’ve been part of that journey ever since, as Scandinavian style has evolved from emerging trends to timeless classics. We have built decades-long relationships with legendary Scandi brands including Kosta Boda, Iittala and Kay Bojesen. When you’re in it for this length of time, it’s more than just selling Nordic homewares – we’re married to the philosophy of functional beauty, quality craftsmanship, and sustainable living.

Our owner Lucy brings her discerning eye and deep understanding of both classic and contemporary Nordic design to ensure every piece in our collection tells a story. Our range gently evolves to include everything from the glassmaking traditions of Sweden's forest workshops and innovative ceramics emerging from modern Danish studios, to charming Finnish wooden decorations and must-have kitchen gadgets.
