A partnership between two Danish friends over 50 years ago was the start of what has since become one of Denmark’s most recognisable and highly respected design brands. From its earliest days, Stelton collaborated with experienced designers to develop a range of innovative but functional tableware designs which would not only stand the test of time, but would also become international design classics. Arne Jacobsen’s Cylinda Line Teapot and Erik Magnussen’s EM77 Vacuum Jug can be found in the homes and offices of design lovers all over the world, and the products are still being produced and refined for today’s market. Staying true to four key design principles – simplicity, timelessness, functionality and innovation – Stelton has been able to survive and indeed to flourish. A respect for quality – both physical and aesthetic – and for Scandinavian design heritage has been supported with a conscious effort to innovate and look to the future, keeping classic designs fresh and adapted for the modern world.
