There's nothing quiet about Bjørn Wiinblad. Where a lot of Danish design plays it cool, Wiinblad's ceramics go all in on faces, flourishes and theatrical good humour - the much-loved Eva and Olga vases and candle holders, the wonderful Lady with Hat pieces, every one hand-finished in that unmistakable style. He spent six decades making people smile with pottery, and the work still does exactly that.
