Hello, Autumn! As much as we love the summer, there's a whole different energy to this time of year. So now the nights are getting darker, draw the curtains, coorie in and cosy up with our pick of the best Nordic lighting, candles, fragrance and soft furnishings for the season ahead.
Lighting
Lighting makes the biggest difference to a room's mood as the nights draw in - and table lamps are always our most popular autumn pick. From statement pendant shades to portable lamps, here's what we're loving right now.
Umage Eos Feather Lampshade
When you're cooped up indoors you want lovely things to look at. The beautiful Eos feather lampshade has a soft, warm lightness and makes an elegant statement in any room. And you could almost give it a cuddle.
Villa Copenhagen Styles LED Lamp
Practical and portable, but stylish with it - this cordless LED lamp can work anywhere, including those dark, awkward corners without a socket. Even better, you can vary the brightness setting depending on whether you're using it for reading or ambiance. We've got it in green, too.
Umage Asteria Move Lamp
Another winner from Danish brand Umage, Asteria Move is portable and cordless, and very handsome to look at. We have it in different colours (although the olive is our favourite) and with pendant versions, too - see them all here

Candles & holders
There's arguably nothing more Scandianvian than candles, so (unsurprisingly) we've a full collection of candles and candleholders that's always being added to - but here are a few of our current favourites.
Broste Donna Candle Tray
A candle tray does double duty - it groups your pillar candles and bits and pieces into one cohesive display (more structure, less chaos), and it protects the table underneath. The Broste Donna tray in a warm autumnal brown is perfect for the season, and looks great with Broste's rustic pillar candles and a box of pretty matches (we've some in the shop). Or use it as a tray when its not on candle duty.
Broste Petra Glass Candle Holder
With clean lines and a chunky, understated silhouette in clear glass, this Petra holder can be used either way up for different sizes of pillar candles. Also available in tan, these work well on their own or grouped with other sizes of Petra holders.

Broste Momo Candle Holder
Hand-finished matt stoneware with a soft, sculptural shape and a rustic finish - each piece is slightly different thanks to the firing process, and they look great contrasted paired with more polished pieces.
Brass is perfect for autumn and winter. It catches candlelight in a way cooler-toned metals just can't, and adds a warmth and richness of its own. Iittala's Nappula is a design classic. The candle holders are available in different colours, but the brass is our pick for the season and looks striking alone, or paired with the taller size. Broste Copenhagen has the popular Maro candleholders in a brass finish, as well as a new family of brass candleholders for this season and a gorgeous brass and glass hurricane lantern.

Dottir's wall sconces are always really popular, and are a lovely way to bring candlelight to a wall or free up table space. The Pipanella designs are striking without being garish, and almost have an Art Deco vibe. Or if you want to continue the brass theme, have a look at Broste's brass sconce.
And if you're thinking that candles on the wall are an accident waiting to happen, Uyuni's real-wax LED candles are a safe, no-hassle option - a tealight suits the wall votives, and a taper works well in the sconces.

Home fragrance
Fragrance is an immediate way to create a cosy mood. We've a home fragrance collection full of candles and diffusers in different scents, but when it comes to this time of year we're naturally drawn to the warmer fragrances.
Skandinavisk's Hygge, as the name implies, is perfect for this. The warm blend of tea, dried apples and cinnamon is available in both candles and diffusers.
Or if you want to bring the outdoors in without leaving the house, the pine and forest notes of Skog make it one of our most popular scents and brilliant for autumn and winter.
Hetkinen's Pine Forest diffuser is similarly forest-themed but very different in nature. Clean, woody and fresh, it has juniper, pine and spruce - and the diffuser is striking in its own right, too. We also love their Sisu diffuser, if you fancy something different.

Cushions & rugs
Our priority when the season changes is to be warm and comfortable - and preferably surrounded by things that are soft and cosy. We do enjoy a cushion or two (who doesn't?), and this season's new rugs from Broste Copenhagen will definitely keep things cosy underfoot.
